AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Cooler temperatures on the way for the weekend but not before temperatures spike ahead of our next cold front.Mainly cloudy skies and patchy fog blankets most of the area this morning. Clouds will gradually thin and clear some later today with afternoon highs climbing well into the upper 80s. RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police have provided an updated image of Chante Ballo and provided more information regarding who she was last seen with since she was reported missing. Ballo is approximately 5'5" and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.Police say she is believed to be with Gabriel Vargas, a 5'8" male with black hair and brown eyes, who weighs around 170 pounds. Hi Jaime. I have to admit, it takes a lot to surprise me, but what I saw this past Friday takes the prize. We’ve all seen more and more workers putting out “tip jars” in hopes of getting a little financial love from customers. I’ve seen it at coffee shops, car washes, gas stations, grocery stores…but I’d never seen one at a doctor’s office…until now. On Friday, I went in for a physical and saw a tip jar at the reception desk. Have I been in the dark on this one, or is this more common than I realize? Do we have to tip everyone now for doing their jobs? For the record, I did put a buck into the jar, but it felt wrong. What do you think? ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Authorities are investigating a murder early Thursday morning in Pine Lawn after one person was shot and killed.The North County Police Cooperative is the police agency leading the investigation. The police haven't confirmed much yet, but there was a sizable police presence at the shooting scene for some time.This all unfolded sometime around 1:00 a.m. on Jennings Station Road south of I-70, near the intersection with Reichmann Avenue. Authorities told FOX 2 that a man in his 20s was shot on Jennings Station Road. The victim then ran and collapsed in the backyard of a nearby home on Rosewood.There are multiple evidence markers at the scene and a medical examiner there as well. The evidence markers typically indicate shell casings. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. LOUIS - St. Louis' largest domestic violence shelter is teaming up with several pet organizations to make it easier for survivors to leave abusive environments.The 'Women's Safe House' in St. Louis is expanding its facility to add an animal kennel. ST. LOUIS - Firefighters were busy with a few calls just after midnight.Two vacant homes caught fire on Annie Malone Drive at Garfield Avenue in the Ville neighborhood of north St. Louis. The walls collapsed on one of the homes. The other had roof damage.
